Family caregivers play a vital role in supporting loved ones, yet the emotional, physical, and mental demands of caregiving often go overlooked. In recognition of National Family Caregiver Month, Hale Kuike is partnering with licensed clinical social worker Sara Tompkison to bring families a free, informative webinar focused on strengthening caregiver mental health and overall well-being.
This session will explore the unique challenges caregivers face and offer practical guidance to help reduce stress and create healthier routines. Participants will learn about common mental and physical health risk factors associated with caregiver burden, as well as the important distinction between internal and external pressure. By understanding these dynamics, caregivers can better recognize their own needs and develop supportive habits.
The webinar will also introduce strategies designed to improve emotional resilience, boost mental health, and encourage meaningful self-care. From building supportive networks to incorporating small, restorative practices into daily life, attendees will walk away with actionable tools to improve their quality of life.
This free webinar will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 10–11 AM Hawaii Standard Time, hosted live via Zoom. Although no CEUs are offered, the event is open to all family caregivers seeking guidance, encouragement, and expert insight. Space is still available, and registration is required.
A full recording of the session will be available afterward on the Hale Kuike Dementia Education Hub for anyone who cannot attend live.
